ICA breaks down real self defense into 6 basic areas: Kicking, Hand techniques, Close quarter (clinch) techniques, Grappling, weapons, and multiple opponents.
Each martial art that we pull from has proven itself to be the most effective in the area of fighting that it specializes in. For example, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the best in grappling, but Boxing is better for striking, Kickboxing and Karate are better for kicking and Muay Thai is better for close quarter clinching, etc.
So rather than just specialize in one area of self defense, we cover them all.
